SAM was born out of the founder’s desire to provide better care for their aging parents. They did not need an assisted living facility yet but were unable to remember to take their medications as prescribed, putting their health and life at risk. After searching for an automated solution for improved medication adherence, the founders found that there was not a dependable easy to use dispenser on the market.
Both founders, while recently in senior positions managing other companies, were educated as engineers with wide product development responsibilities in their careers. This understanding allowed them to fully understand both the needs of users and the technical challenges of product development… to create a product better than anything on the market. They engaged a team of engineers, doctors in pharmacy, and a marketing team and, have created SAM. A Smart Automated Medication dispenser to bring to market.

2. Can Medication be taken “on-demand”?
Yes, if the scheduled or planned dose time does not fit the day’s activity plan, the user can simply snooze the alert or go to the dispenser early to take pills with a touch of the screen.
3. Can my caregiver prefill my tray in advance?
Yes, the user is provided with two extra fill tray inserts that can be prepared in advance by either the caregiver or pharmacy.
4. What if we have a power outage?
No problem! SAM has a built-in, back-up battery to keep you going until power resumes.
